A Candle in the Window (Illustrated)

A Candle in the Window

"Papa," Emily asked in a soft voice, "Would it be okay if we put a candle in the window?"
Her father's forehead wrinkled with confusion at her question. "Why do you want to do that?"
"So mama can find her way home," she said innocently.

After Molly dies, her husband and three young daughters struggle to face their first Christmas without her. But eight-year-old Emily is convinced her mother will come and visit her at Christmas.

A tender story of a miracle brought about by the faith of a young girl, A Candle in the Window is sure to bring the magic and wonder of Christmas into your heart.

Author’s notes:

This story is based on actual events in my grandmother's life set in the early 1900's. Although it's not completely biographical, I have tried to maintain as much of the lifestyle and capture the magic of that era through this sweet story.

I hope you enjoy it and that it's message touches your heart with the true spirit of Christmas.
